How we work

The Digital Product journey.

Four stages, from the first insight to continuous evolution.

01020304DiscoveryDesign & DevMonitorIterateCONTINUOUS LOOP
01

Product Discovery

The first stage of our journey. We identify the best solution for users, considering business goals, user needs and technical limitations — and build a feature roadmap that reduces risk and increases the success rate, with a comprehensive market and competitor analysis.

02

Design & Development

Applying the opportunities and limitations found during Discovery, we design and develop the product following the defined roadmap. The goal is software able to scale safely and easily, using the most modern standards and practices.

03

Monitoring

By closely monitoring the product and its usage, we can see which new features are most in demand and how to best optimize the existing ones.

04

Iteration

Like a Discovery sprint, we outline and prioritize what to build — but now applying direct user feedback to adapt the backlog for new features and UX improvements.

How we think

Code is only half the work.

The other half is judgment: thinking about the business, choosing the right level of care, and delivering something that lasts.

01
Business

Tech partners, not vendors

We don't just ship the spec. We think about your business like a CTO would: what moves the metric, what scales, and what's worth building.

02
Context

Critical system or innovation? Each at its own pace

What can't go down demands rigor, tests and extra care. An innovation bet demands speed to validate. We know the difference — and tune the process to each.

03
Quality

Quality that lasts

Code another person can read, maintain and evolve. Modern standards, human review and a foundation built to grow with you.

Artificial intelligence

AI to move faster — with you in control.

AI speeds up development, but it brings real risks: data leakage, lock-in, intellectual property and code nobody understands. We help you navigate those choices — where AI adds value, where it shouldn't go, and how to use it without compromising security, quality or control.

FAQ

Everything you need to know.

What does Espresso Labs do?
Espresso Labs is a São Paulo software house that designs, builds and scales custom software. We act as partners from beginning to end — discovery, design, development, monitoring and continuous evolution.
Where is Espresso Labs located?
We are in Pinheiros, São Paulo (SP), Brazil, and we serve clients in Brazil and abroad.
What is the working process like?
We follow a four-stage product journey: Discovery, Design & Development, Monitoring and Iteration — tuning the pace to the case: rigor for critical systems, speed for innovation.
Do you use AI in development?
Yes, when it makes sense and with your authorization. AI speeds up parts of the work, but every result is human-reviewed before shipping, and we define together what can or can't be exposed to AI tools.
Do you allocate professionals or development squads?
Yes. Beyond running projects end to end, we allocate senior professionals (dev, design, QA, PM) or full squads to work inside your team, in your process and tools. You scale the team without the cost and risk of a fixed hire.
Do you work on critical systems that can't go down?
Yes. We handle critical systems with rigor, tests and extra care — at a different pace from an innovation initiative. We also maintain and modernize legacy systems that already run your operation.
How long has Espresso Labs been around and who are the clients?
8 years in operation, 220+ clients served — including Unilever and C&A — and 57 systems under active maintenance.
